What Freedom Means

Freedom is a sacred privilege.

Freedom is earned.

Freedom is being able to openly love the one you love without fearing judgment.

Freedom is being able to pursue an education without being afraid someone will find out and make an example out of you.

Freedom is being able to wear whatever you choose without being called horrible names and being punished.

Freedom is being able to believe what you want without being judged or thought less of.

Freedom is a sacred privilege.

Freedom is earned.

Freedom relentlessly fought for, day in and day out.

Freedom is paid for, not only by the men and women who gave their lives but also by the ones they leave behind.

Freedom is battled for by men and women who are sick of being silenced by corrupt governments.

Freedom is fought for by men, women, and children who combat terror organizations from the day they are born to the day they die.

Freedom is deprived of millions of people across the world.

In the words of Ronald Reagan, "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bedroom. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same."

Freedom is a sacred privilege.
