Eberhard "Eb" Bauer, 72nd Air Base Wing Civil Engineer Directorate, was recently honored with the 72nd ABW Wildcatter Award.

Mr. Bauer is a highly motivated program manager with a big "can do" attitude. His duties require very diverse skills and abilities, and he has consistently delivered outstanding results in his projects.   When the former Installation Antiterrorism Officer was promoted to another organization last year, Mr. Bauer seamlessly took the reins of the program, revamped the program webpage, approved Civil Engineering work orders, conducted multiple staff assistance visits and maintained all other aspects of the program.

His efforts were instrumental in the attainment of a successful Joint Staff Integrated Vulnerability Assessment -- something the JSIVA team recognized when they named him an Outstanding Performer.

An integral member of the Crisis Action Team staff, Mr. Bauer performed as the CAT manager during joint and local exercise events and is always quick to fill in for other CAT staff capacities should the need arise.  He also assumed responsibility for the Wing Defense Readiness Reporting System Program POC this year, ensuring organizational reps are assigned, mandatory training and monthly assessments are completed in accordance with requirements.

Due to an AFMC-directed realignment of Operations Security Program responsibility to 72nd ABW/XP, Mr. Bauer was named the Installation OPSEC Program manager. And, as usual, he took the ball and ran with it -- quickly reinvigorated the program, identified and developed a plan that will quickly correct a program deficiency and continues to establish new relationships and provide important information for all Tinker entities. He epitomizes the Wildcatter spirit by leading and encouraging individuals to overcome obstacles by finding or developing solutions.

Mr. Bauer's dedication, mission-focus and desire to go above and way beyond are all traits which continue to support the successes of the installation.
