Three members of the 72nd Air Base Wing were recently presented with the 72nd Air Base Wing Commander's Wildcatter Awards.

Carol Murray has been a Readiness Program specialist with the 72nd Logistics Readiness Squadron since October 2009.

She interacts one-on-one with the 72nd ABW and 72nd Mission Support Group commanders, squadron commanders/directors and all LRS personnel --military, civilians and contractors.

She epitomizes the "Wildcatter" spirit by leading and encouraging individuals to overcome doubts and obstacles by finding or developing solutions.

Ms. Murray undertook the task of moving 12 personnel, all furnishings and equipment to Bldg. 469 when Bldg. 5803 was identified as part of the base wide decentralization energy savings contract and was scheduled for demolition. She designed the space in Bldg. 469, acquired additional matching modular furniture and oversaw the upgrade of electrical and communication requirements. This initiative saved more than $1 million -- a vanguard for taxpayers.

Her Wingman attitude and genuine enthusiasm for every task she takes on or assists with is always evidenced by the final product.

1st Lt. Amber Oweida has been the customer support chief with the 72nd Force Support Squadron since January 2014.  During this time, she led a phenomenal team of 15 Total Force Airmen to provide support and policy interpretation to Team Tinker beneficiaries.

Earlier this year, Lieutenant Oweida provided oversight and resources for the initiation of continuous process improvement projects in the areas of ID card issuance, passport and visa application processing, Personnel Deployment Function lines, base in-processing and Commander's Support Staff operations. Her dedication to taking care of her team and those they serve is reflected in the compliments from 10 satisfied customer surveys submitted in January, reporting an overall 5 out of 5 "Outstanding" service rating.

As the PDF line officer in charge, she coordinated PDF support for Tinker's warfighters for Exercise "Red Flag."

Lieutenant Oweida was also elected by her peers and co-workers as event coordinator for the 72nd FSS Booster Club, as well as Lieutenant Professional Development Program coordinator for the Tinker Company Grade Officers Council.

Also, as the Installation Voting Assistance Officer, she facilitated the electronic distribution of absentee ballot Federal Post Card Applications to base personnel and their eligible voting-age dependents.

Passionate about expanding her officer toolbox and furthering her education, Lieutenant Oweida attended two Management Internal Control Toolset training sessions, completed the Difficult Conversations course, Customer Service University course and Self-Aid and Buddy Care training, and enrolled in three credit hours toward her master's degree in Human Relations.

Lieutenant Oweida's leadership skills and dedication to excellence enable her team to build esprit de corps, remain resilient and provide top-notch customer service.

Senior Airman Danielle Hawk, Commander's Support Staff technician in the 72nd FSS, has been rock solid for the squadron over the last year.

Starting with the squadron's Wingman Day activities, Airman Hawk led the charge with organizing the entire event.  She set up the auditorium, secured the discussion slides/topics, collected funds and secured an FSS-only time slot at the Warren Theater for a movie that coincided with our Wingman theme.

In addition, Airman Hawk saw a need to thank the civilians for all their hard work and support so she organized an FSS Operation COOKIE DROP (started in 2013 to lift the spirits of civilians during furlough) where military members baked/bought cookies in an effort to visit FSS facilities and provide some cheer. Airman Hawk not only organized the event, but she also bagged and delivered more than 300 bags of cookies throughout the squadron.

Moreover, Airman Hawk has been a champion for the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response community as a victim advocate for the base. She is trained and equipped to provide support when needed. Airman Hawk recently completed 32 hours of SAPR refresher training, ensuring anyone who receives her support is in the best of care.

Along with being a victim advocate, she is also a SAPR instructor who has trained more than 50 personnel not only from FSS, but also from other units across the base.

Through her dedication and commitment to this very important initiative, Airman Hawk has been asked by the SARC office to assist with their 2015 base-wide training.
In addition to all the support Airman Hawk has been providing to her unit and to the base, she still found time to complete nine semester hours towards her Community College of the Air Force degree.

Airman Hawk's tireless efforts, drive and motivation are the cornerstones that hold the squadron together. Whether leading the way in the Commander's Support Staff or as the vice president of the Squadron Booster Club, Airman Hawk epitomizes everything a Wingman should be.
