AROUND TINKER: ITEC Spotlight Published May 1, 2015 TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, OKLA. -- The 72nd Air Base Wing Communications Directorate's Information Technology Equipment Custodian, "ITEC Spotlight," for April honors Gary Wehrenberg of the 72nd Force Support Squadron's Force Development Flight. Mr. Wehrenberg is the primary ITEC for an IT Asset Management account of 324 assets and is also the alternate ITEC for a smaller ITAM account of 27 assets. Together, both accounts are valued at almost $140,000. He has been employed at Tinker since December 1994 and has been in his current position as an Information Technology specialist since April 2001. As an IT specialist, Mr. Wehrenberg supports FSD by ensuring its IT assets are configured and maintained in accordance with Air Force, Tinker Air Force Base and organizational requirements. He also certifies FSD has the assets needed to carry out all education, training and testing objectives. Having ITAM account assets located in classrooms and testing areas in several buildings is a challenge due to the geographical separation of the buildings and the limited access to classrooms due to class schedules and testing sessions that go beyond the size of his accounts. Mr. Wehrenberg says he most enjoys keeping up with the constantly evolving technology and the changing needs of his organization. Helping his personnel achieve their mission goals by keeping his accounts up to date and compliant gives him much satisfaction and pride.
