Chief Scientist of the Air Force tours an E-3 Sentry aircraft from the 552nd Air Control Wing
Air Force Chief Scientist Dr. Mica R. Endsley and Master Sgt. Jamie Lewis, a flight engineer with the 552nd Operations Support Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, discuss the capabilities of the E-3 “Sentry” Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft during a tour of the base by members of the United States Air Force Scientific Advisory Board based out of Washington, D.C. During their week-long visit April 19-24, SAB members attended a number of briefings and toured several areas of the base to include Bldg. 3001, Bldg. 9001, the 552nd Air Control Wing and the Medical Clinic. Board members also attended a dinner with community leaders in downtown Oklahoma City. Additional coverage of the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board visit will appear in next week’s Tinker Take Off.
