This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the commitment to ground force in Vietnam and the accompanying air campaign.  Additionally, April 30 of this year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Fall of Saigon, the penultimate end of U.S. combat engagement in the nation of South Vietnam

The 72nd Air Base Wing is joining with the Air Force Association to honor those who served in Vietnam on Thursday April 30th at the Airpark located at I-40 and Air Depot Blvd.

A Retreat Ceremony will be held there from 4:30-5 pm..  Several speakers will recognize the service of our Vietnam era veterans and honor all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to America.

Join the 72nd Air Base Wing and others in showing our respect and honor for service above and beyond the call of duty.  The millions who served and the over 58,000 who gave the ultimate sacrifice deserve our thanks.

To attend the ceremony, with base access, parking is available in the Commissary parking lot along the Airpark fence.  A pedestrian gate will be open there to gain access to the area.  For those without access to the base, parking and shuttle transportation is arranged on the south end of the parking lot located with Dicks Sporting Goods on 29th St.
