Eighty-seven individuals recently graduated from the yearlong Tinker Employee Enhancement Program.

The EEP is a leadership and knowledge enhancement program to develop and broaden participants' leadership skills and knowledge of the mission, structure and business activities of key organizations at Tinker Air Force Base, and enhance teamwork, communication skills and networking.

Jeffrey Allen, executive director of the Air Force Sustainment Center, told those attending the ceremony at the Tinker Club March 26 that many high-ranking Tinker leaders have graduated from the program.  EEP's 144 hours of classroom work, briefings, tours, seminars and other activities are designed to broaden students' perspectives and knowledge about Tinker.

Mr. Allen told graduates to remember their classmates and the relationships they've built over the year.

"That's probably, in my opinion, the biggest benefit out of this course," the director said. "Make sure you nurture and continue those relationships. You're going to be tasked in the future to solve problems.  You will need to work with someone in a different part of the base and you will already be familiar with what they do and chances are you will know somebody in that area giving you instant rapport, that's the beauty of this program."

Mr. Allen added, "Congratulations to each and every one of you. We are extremely proud of you. The turnout today shows how important you are to us, to the mission and what you're going to do for Tinker in the future."

More than 1,100 people have graduated from the leadership program since 1998. Qualified applicants are in grades GS-9 through GS-12 or WG-10 through WS-14, from the AFSC-Tinker, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center-Tinker, the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center-Tinker, and the Defense Logistics Center-Tinker.

Tim Collins, EEP program manager, said the application period for the next competitively selected class will be announced later this year. For more information, visit the Tinker home page and select the education and training topic.
