Free child care for Tinker newcomers Published Feb. 6, 2015 Family Child Care TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Newly stationed Tinker AFB members from any branch of service are eligible for up to 20 hours of free child care. Best of all, it's 20 hours per child. The Child Care for PCS Program is designed to help families during their stressful moves. The Air Force Aid Society funds the care for Airmen. The AF Family Child Care Expanded Care Program funds the care for Army, Navy and Marine families assigned to Tinker. The child care is done in the homes of trained FCC providers who have been licensed and follow Air Force requirements. Service members can use the child care hours for children ages 2 weeks to 12 years old within the first 60 days of their arrival. Outgoing members can also sign up for free child care at their new bases. Air Force families can pick up certificates at the Airman and Family Readiness Center, 6001 Arnold Street. All other branches of service should call the FCC Office at 734-7190. Service members must provide a copy of PCS orders to qualify for the program.
