Aruna Abhayagoonawardhana, from the 72nd Civil Engineer Directorate, was recognized for being an outstanding mentor during Oklahoma Mentor Day at the State Capitol on Jan. 15. Mr. Abhayagoonawardhana is a lead mentor for STARBASE 2.0 at Carl Albert Middle School, helping children with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, or STEM, projects and teaching them character and leadership skills.
