AROUND TINKER: Tinker chaplain earns 72nd ABW Wildcatter Award Published Jan. 23, 2015 By 72nd Air Base Wing TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Chaplain (Capt.) Bill Mesaeh, with the Tinker Chapel, recently received a 72nd Air Base Wing Commander's Wildcatter Award. In his first assignment as an active duty chaplain, Chaplain Mesaeh has hit the ground running. He has exceeded all expectations; excelling at an exponential rate in his duties as the chaplain corps OPR for SAPR Case Management Group, FTAC, Emergency Management, the 552nd Maintenance Group and the Protestant worship service. Chaplain Mesaeh's mission in Warrior Care to Airmen and their families is unequalled and exudes excellence. Recently, he was the project officer and leader for the Lieutenant Professional Development Program, conducted a memorial service in honor of a fallen active duty member, was keynote speaker for an off-base World War II Bomb Group Veteran's Day service, briefed 47 civilians at Oklahoma City's Department of Human Services, briefed 180 GS civilians at the base EEP, served Thanksgiving meals to 650 Airmen, served three hours a week as head coach of a Tinker Youth Center football team, conducted 10 spiritual resiliency events impacting 422 personnel, counseled 37 personnel and families and offered 22 invocations to 2,000 people. Chaplain Mesaeh personifies the Air Force Core Values of Integrity First, Service Before Self and Excellence in all We Do. These attributes make him an invaluable member of Team Tinker, the Chaplain Corps and the 72nd Air Base Wing.
