Once again, Tinker employees showed their generosity and beat the base's Combined Federal Campaign goal of $1,208,728.81 by more than $40,000.

Tinker has a tradition of meeting its CFC goal. Capt. Benjamin Quigley, 72nd Security Forces Squadron section commander and base CFC coordinator, said 2014 is no exception, with total contributions equaling $1,251,538.90.

"It is through the generous and giving workforce that Tinker was able to support our community," said Lt. Gen. Bruce Litchfield, Air Force Sustainment Center commander.

"Congratulations to Team Tinker. This was a great team effort and I am proud and honored to be a part of this team. Thank you all for paying it forward."

Col. Christopher Azzano, 72nd Air Base Wing and Tinker installation commander, echoed the general's sentiment.

"Despite the current fiscal pressures, Team Tinker rose to the occasion to beat an aggressive goal," Colonel Azzano said. "The spirit of volunteerism and collaboration at Tinker AFB is truly extraordinary. Well done!"

Donations from Team Tinker made up nearly half of Central Oklahoma's $2,725,000 campaign goal. Though the final numbers are not yet in, officials feel they are close to reaching that goal as well.
