Holiday social media vigilance

With holidays less than a week away and possible gifts allowing us to record the moments, keep-in-touch and share experiences with friends and families across the globe, it's always good the check privacy settings before posting online.

Most new cameras, smart phones and tablets come standard with geo-tagging and GPS check-in.  

The decisions about what and how much information we share publicly are important.

This doesn't mean we should stop sharing important events in our lives through social media; it simply means there's a smart way to do this while affording ourselves and loved ones the greatest opportunity of personal security.

Current world events dictate we need to apply an extra level of caution when posting information to social media sites.
