CFC tops $800,000: Deadline extended through Nov. 26 Published Nov. 21, 2014 By John Parker Staff Writer TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Team Tinker members have until Thanksgiving eve to pledge a donation to any of the 24,000 charities in the Combined Federal Campaign, base officials announced. Tinker's civilian and military members have donated more than $800,000 since October, drive coordinator Capt. Benjamin Quigley said. However, the drive is still short of the campaign goal. Because of that, Col. Christopher Azzano, 72nd Air Base Wing and Tinker installation commander, announced last week that the drive has been extended to Nov. 26. Capt. Quigley said donations have been building steadily toward the base's $1.2 million goal. "The holiday season is upon us, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner," the captain said. "While Thanks-giving gives an opportunity to reflect on our blessings, CFC gives us an opportunity to act on our gratitude and pass forward a portion of our good fortune." Drive organizers and the United Way recently recognized Jennifer Anderson, management analyst with the 448th Supply Chain Management Wing, as the 2014 Outstanding CFC-Oklahoma key worker. Key workers coordinate CFC drives within various Tinker organizations and are the points of contact for pledge information. Donors can also sign up online through MyPay at https://mypay.dfas .mil/mypay.aspx. Visit www.cfc-central.org for information about charities and CFC giving codes.
