Early Birds flock together for campaign Published Nov. 6, 2014 By John Parker Staff Writer TINKER AIR FORCE BASE - Okla. -- Seventeen Team Tinker organizations stepped up to the plate and earned Early Bird status for making contact and providing Combined Federal Campaign information to all of their potential donors by Oct. 31. Capt. Benjamin Quigley, base drive coordinator, congratulated the groups for leading the charge as the campaign winds to a close next Saturday. "Our Central Oklahoma United Way representative is very pleased with the campaign and Tinker is a big contributor to how well the campaign is doing so far," Captain Quigley said. "We continue to receive contributions and our $1.2 million goal is definitely attainable. " Units earned Early Bird status for making 100 percent contact with their potential givers. No update was available on last week's $518,062 donation total, but Captain Quigley said contributions have been steadily climbing toward Tinker's goal of $1,208,728.81. Fifty-three organizations are part of the Tinker Air Force Base drive.
