After serving three years as director of Contracting for the Air Force Sustainment Center, Air Force Materiel Command at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, Nancy K. Andrews is now the AFSC director of Contracting at Tinker.  Ms. Andrews is responsible for all

AFSC Contracting activities at three locations: Tinker, Hill and Robins AFB, Ga.
While at Hill, Ms. Andrews spearheaded the activation of the Five Center Construct for Contracting while also overseeing the award of nearly 30,000 contracting actions totaling nearly $8 billion.

"Ms. Andrews was acutely attuned to matching the warfighters' needs with our nation's economic agenda," said James Dean, Small Business Programs director at Hill AFB, "and she fiercely supported small business goals during the course of her leadership at Hill."

Under Ms. Andrews' leadership, the Hill AFB organization was the AFSC's Fiscal Year 2013 leader in awarding small business dollars at nearly 40 percent, small disadvantaged business dollars at 16 percent and woman-owned small business dollars at 11 percent.

The organization also supported the 748th Supply Chain Management Group by awarding more than $300 million in contracts affecting 3,000 aircraft, 90 bases and 30 countries yearly. In addition, the unit supported the Ogden Air Logistics Complex, the 75th Air Base Wing and other Team Hill mission partners, overseeing 13,335 installation contracting actions valued at more than $989 million.

"Ms. Andrews was instrumental in supporting the 748th Supply Chain Management Wing," said Col. Ray Jones, 748th SCMW commander. "She helped shape the innovative enterprise $4 billion Performance Based Logistics strategy that affects auxiliary power units, repairable subassemblies, wheels, brakes, valves and other related components."

Colonel Jones said the net result of this contracting action has been an improvement in reliability, parts availability, reduced costs and improved depot capability.
During Ms. Andrews' tenure at Hill, her organization and several of its members received numerous individual and unit awards and recognitions, including Air Force Materiel Command's Outstanding Large Contracting Unit (Operational) in 2013. Previous Hill coworkers praised her for her leadership while at the base and say she will missed.

"She personifies the meaning of 'The Art of the Possible' in her everyday approach to mission support while putting her people first," said Anthony Braswell, deputy, Contracting Director. "Our organization was better because of her leadership."
