Feds Feed FamiliesL Food drive nearing end Published Aug. 21, 2014 By John Parker Tinker Public Affairs TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Team Tinker has only one week left to reach the goal of 10,000 pounds of food to donate in the Feds Feed Families drive. Generous donors have already helped the drive reach 70 percent of the goal. The drive ends Aug. 27. Team Tinker members and their families can drop off non-perishable food at several locations: the south entrance of 72nd Air Base Wing headquarters in Bldg. 460, the 72nd Medical Group Clinic at Bldg. 1094, the 72nd Security Forces Squadron at Bldg. 7017 and the flagpole entrance of Bldg. 3001. The Tinker Commissary is both a drop-off location and a place donors can buy pre-packaged donation bags for $10 each. The donations go to food bank organizations that serve Midwest City and Del City. So far, Tinker has donated 7,019 pounds of food, according to Master Sgt. Rasheam A. Moore-Coates with the 72nd Security Forces Squadron. "Team Tinker is only 2,981 pounds shy of our 10,000 (pound) goal," he said.
