Civilian inspectors to evaluate 72nd MDG Published Feb. 10, 2014 By Lt. Col. Michael Bruhn 72nd Medical Group Administrator TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Their inspection is just around the corner. The 72nd Medical Group will undergo a civilian accreditation inspection beginning March 3 and culminating March 6. A three-member civilian team from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare will closely examine all aspects of healthcare delivery at the 72nd MDG. "This is really our chance to show what a great team we have," said Col. Dean Prentice, 72nd MDG commander. "The inspectors review every facet of the healthcare we provide in order to validate we are following established healthcare standards. This ensures our patients are getting the quality healthcare they deserve and we are meeting our overall mission." The teams will be conducting numerous meetings and assessments throughout the medical facilities during the week. Patients at the 72nd MDG may experience some minor delays in service due to clinic personnel involvement in these meetings. "We will do everything we can to minimize the impacts during this one week to our patients," Colonel Prentice said. "We are looking forward to showing the inspection team a medical staff who provides fantastic care and service to their patients."
