Draft environmental assessment released for new tanker maintenance at Tinker Published Jan. 31, 2014 Tinker Public Affairs TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The United States Air Force and the 72nd Air Base Wing have prepared a draft environmental assessment for the KC-46A depot maintenance activation at Tinker. The assessment evaluates the impact from construction and operation of a multi-bay hangar for programmed depot maintenance on the Air Force's new tanker, and the potential consequences to the natural and human environment. The public is invited to review the draft assessment and provide comments. Written comments can be submitted before close of business on March 3, 2014. The final draft of the assessment is available to view at the Midwest City Public Library on Reno Avenue, or online at the 72nd Air Base Wing's Environmental Management page under the 'related items' tab.
