Communication key to Wildcatter’s success

Kimberly Savidge, the resource adviser for the 72nd Air Base Wing Communications Directorate, recently received a Wildcatter Award from 72nd ABW Commander Col. Stephanie Wilson.

As the resource adviser, Ms. Savidge interacts with customers from the 72nd ABW, 552nd Air Control Wing, 507th Air Refueling Wing, 448th Supply Chain Management Wing, Strategic Communications Wing ONE, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex and the 45 different associate units located at Tinker, ensuring the Base Telephone Services contracts are funded appropriately and documented.

She has processed more than $1.2 million in communication equipment purchases for customers on government purchase cards/purchase requests and more than $1.5 million for communication work orders and long distance services within the last seven months.

Ms. Savidge’s attention to detail ensures that all local and headquarters budget policies and procedures are followed and that the Communications Directorate is in compliance with all applicable guidance, regulations and public law. Often, Ms. Savidge is called upon by 72nd ABW/SC members to assist with the Defense Travel System and other financial questions. Her attitude and willingness to assist makes it a pleasure to work with her and the guidance she provides is exceptional. She always keeps management informed of financial information, trend analyses, budget changes and account status.

She is the resident expert on Telephone Reimbursements for the SC Directorate. Ms. Savidge provides status of financial metrics reports; spend plans, and budget guidance so that timely directorate-level decisions can be made.
