Hot water panels
Rex Stanford, 72nd Civil Engineering Directorate’s project manager for solar hot water heating installation, looks at solar panels on top of Bldg. 215 Jan. 15. Tinker is installing solar hot water systems at six buildings on base including facilities of the 552nd Air Control Wing, Defense Logistics Agency, the Navy, 507th Air Refueling Wing, 72nd Air Base Wing facilities and the Defense Information Systems Agency - OKC. The panels use sunlight to heat water, reducing the power needed by 50 to 75 percent. More base industrial facilities are being considered for future panel installation.
