72nd CPTS Closeout Team wins Wildcatter Award

The 72nd Comptroller Squadron’s Closeout Team exemplified the Wildcatter Spirit at the end of the fiscal year and was recently recognized for its efforts by 72nd Air Base Wing Commander Col. Steven Bleymaier. The team was a total force multiplier, financially supporting five wings, three major commands, the Navy, Air Force Reserve Command and 20 tenant units. They handled 11,700 documents and certified $7.4 billion. They also obligated $32 million in funds sent by Air Force Materiel Command, funding 33 projects to sustain Tinker’s critical infrastructure. In addition, the team executed the 72nd ABW’s $274 million budget, obligating 99.9 percent of the funds. As a result of their efforts, less than $1,000 was left at the end of the fiscal year.
