Disability career fair

Approximately 160 job seekers attended the second annual People with Disabilities Career Fair, hosted by Tinker Air Force Base March 22 at the Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City campus. Twenty-one city, state and federal employers were represented at the event, which is focused on recruiting people with disabilities. There were 12 volunteers, including sign language interpreters and sighted-guides, on hand who provided assistive services to the job seekers. The employers commented again and again about the high quality of candidates who attended the Career Fair. Many of the agencies were optimistic that they would be able to hire some of these candidates. (Courtesy photo)
