Col. Bob LaBrutta, 72nd Air Base Wing and Tinker Installation commander and artist Gaylon Thompson unveil Mr. Thompson’s portrait of Maj. Gen. Clarence Tinker Nov. 17 now hanging in the lobby of the 72nd ABW headquarters, Bldg. 460. Mr. Thompson donated the oil on linen portrait he did from an historical photo of the Tinker Air Force Base namesake, originally painted several years ago for the Oklahoma Centennial celebration. Besides painting and teaching painting, Mr. Thompson is a Tinker welder, working in the 550th Commodities Maintenance Squadron. (Air Force photo by Margo Wright)
