Welcome home

Ebrahim Namazi embraces his son, 1st Lt. Shahin Namazi when the 552nd Airman returned to Tinker Nov. 16 following a six-month Southwest Asia deployment in support of operations in Afghanistan. Mr. Namazi, his wife and daughter flew from their New York home earlier that day and waited hours for Lieutenant Namazi. They held signs and anxiously scanned faces as returning Airmen trickled from the plane in the cold and dark. Spotting him, they shrieked with joy and bounded toward him. After a brief evening celebrating his return and also his birthday, the family would fly home to New York early the next morning. (Air Force photo by Margo Wright)
