RB-47E
The RB-47E on display in the Tinker AFB Heritage Airpark, tail number 0-34275 (S/N 53-4257), was a dedicated photographic reconnaissance version of the Boeing B-47 Stratojet. It was a machine born from German science, baptized in American sacrifice and an inevitable victim of Cold War innovation. The aircraft on display at Tinker never saw the frontlines of the Cold War during its entire career with the Wright Air Development Center at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
