A-7D CORSAIR II

The A-7 "Corsair II" and its TF41 engine were both long-time workloads at the Oklahoma City Air Logistic Center. Between 1972 and 1988, depot level maintenance was performed nearly 1,500 times on A-7s at Tinker AFB. The LTV aerospace aircraft was originally ordered for the U.S. Navy in early 1964 and the USAF accepted its first A-7 in late 1968. Characteristics: Span-39'; length-46'; height-16'; gross weight-42,000 lbs; top speed-698 mph; range-2,871 miles; ordnance-15-000 lbs. Dedicated July 4, 1992.
