Snap kitting
Mechanic Jeff Lankford of the 550th Commodities Maintenance Squadron Air Driven Accessories area, Bldg. 200, builds a C-130 pressure regulator with a SNAP kit of needed parts close by. The Synchronization of Needed Assets and Pre-Positioning kits carry everything to repair an item so mechanics don’t have to chase parts. Kits also reduce redundant parts ordering and turn what a production support technician called a nightmare of paperwork into a manageable system. (Air Force photo by Margo Wright)
