Tinker paddlers fill weekend with discovery
On one of the many shifting shoals along the picturesque Buffalo National River in Arkansas, an enthusiastic group discovered the perfect place for basking in early morning sunlight after breakfast on an Outdoor Recreation-sponsored trip June 10-11. Jeff Gerlitz, ODR programs coordinator, John Cordon, volunteer trip leader, and Staff Sgt. Marcus Magnant, 552nd Air Control Wing, Communications Squadron, not only enjoy the great outdoors and opportunities ODR trips inspire, but always find camaraderie while perfecting outdoor skills. Everyone in the eight member group had differing levels of paddling experience, all in good physical condition and enjoyed the challenges of paddling more than 41 miles in just under two days on the water.
