Plaque to the future
Master Sgt. Chuck Loftus and Mickey Fullingim find familiar names on a 1997 plaque that hailed a new Engine Two-Level Maintenance system that honed engine repair processes and saved the Air Force millions. Sergeant Loftus was a senior airman and Mr. Fullingim a staff sergeant when the plaque first was unveiled. Years of depot floor changes hid the plaque behind a free-standing office wall until Steven Lewis, a Propulsion Maintenance Division F108 equipment specialist saw it and set a rededication in motion. Sergeant Loftus is now stationed at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., and Mr. Fullingim is a B-52 sheet metal work leader. (Air Force photo by Margo Wright)
