Sgt. Parks

Staff Sgt. Deondra Parks credits her security forces training in staying calm when a stranger with killing on his mind shot her in a book store last year. Support and encouragement from 72nd Security Forces Squadron leadership, including Senior Master Sgt. George Barkman, operations superintendent; Lt. Col. Troy Roberts, commander; and Master Sgt. Chris White, assistant first sergeant, from left, just re-enforced her beliefs that the Air Force family would help in times of need.
