Signing
With the stroke of a pen, Tinker and Pratt & Whitney officials agreed Sept. 14 to the partnership that will see the F117 engine worked on here. Brig. Gen. Bruce Litchfield, 76th Maintenance Wing commander, signed the agreement as Pratt & Whitney’s Bob Johnson, seated, watched. Also attending the signing were, back from left; Robert Kusbel, 76th MXW Business Development Branch chief; Floyd Craft, 547th Propulsion Maintenance Squadron director; Dan Mooney, 76th Propulsion Maintenance Group deputy director; and Leonard Hayes, F117 program manager. “We’re ready,” said General Litchfield after signing the agreement. “It’s time to go to work.” Tinker is the third heavy maintenance center for the F117 and the first for the Air Force; the other two centers are private.
