Trash pick up

The 72nd Air Base Wing Civil Engineer team responsible for picking up Tinker’s trash has their hands full on a daily basis. From left: David Bigham, Casaundra “Candy” George, Chris Hansen, Carol Dawn Enloe, Jessica “Mush” Smith, Jennifer Williams and Thomas (TJ) Baden all take turns driving the “mule” around and keeping the base clean. The team picks up trash in every area of the base except housing and the golf course. When the ground is dry, they even go “off road” and pick up trash blown against Tinker’s exterior fence lines. The wind is a huge enemy in the war against trash. The team said they pick up six to 10 55-gallon bags every day. “It piles up pretty quick,” said assistant project manager Matt Davis.
