The cardboard cutouts were also on display in the 72nd Medical Group and Bldg. 3001 to bring awareness to October’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The plaques described actual people killed in family maltreatment incidents. Oklahoma ranks third in the nation for the murder of women. Local charities that are accepting donations through the 2015 Combined Federal Campaign were present Wednesday during the annual CFC Fair held in Bldg. 3001’s Oklahoma Room. Tinker military members and civilians can donate through a payroll deduction to CFC-approved charities during the campaign, which runs through Nov. 22. Contractors are also able to donate with cash or a check. Tinker’s goal is to raise $1.2 million. CFC is the only authorized workplace giving campaign for federal employees. Each charity has a designation code and pledges can be made through a paper pledge card or electronically through “My Pay.” If donating, a minimum $2 per pay period per charity is required.
