Kitten's savior

Recently, Shawn Randol picked up more than his daughter from Tinker’s Child Development Center West one day after work. In the shade of the facility’s large tree was a lone kitten that seemed injured. The 76th Commodities Maintenance Group sheet metal mechanic and his daughter, Abbie, 4, took the kitten to a veterinarian. Around $200 later, the diagnosis was that the tiny creature had suffered a concussion. Mr. Randol was attached and Socksy became a part of the family. Left, Abbie displays her drawing of the kitten that now lives with cows, chickens, horses and a dog on the family’s land in Mulhall, Okla. (Air Force photo by Margo Wright)
