Metro lift
Merwyn Dinwiddie ends her day at the Vanwey Dining Facility, boarding a METRO Transit’s METRO Lift vehicle to take her home. The Dale Rodgers Training Center employee is one of the first at Tinker to use the public transportation service that provides door to door rides to persons with disabilities. When caregivers can’t bring someone to work, the lift service steps in. It is a benefit to everyone base. “It allows the employees a sense of independence,” says Barry Henderson, the Dale Rogers Training Center contract manager. (Photo by Margo Wright)
