Welcome to the lounge

Smiles and free refreshments were on the menu during the official May 26 opening of the Latté Lounge — Airman’s Café. The lounge was a base chapel project that relied on volunteers to transform unused Loop Hall dorm rooms into an upscale retreat for Airmen offering free everything from pool tables, Wi-Fi, video games, live entertainment and specialty coffees, beverages and snacks. Chaplain (Capt.) Kelly Stahl was the backbone of the project and is grateful the new facility offers Airmen a safe and economical place to relax. Hours for the lounge are 6 to 10 p.m. Fridays and 2 to 10 p.m. Saturdays. For more information, call the chapel at 734-2111. (Air Force photo/Margo Wright)
