Unsung Hero
For all of her career, until now, photographer Margo Wright has been behind the lens. As the primary photographer for the Tinker Take Off, Ms. Wright has helped share the stories of Team Tinker with the outside world for more than a decade. She covers everything from high-level visits — like the recent visit by Gen. Donald Hoffman, commander of Air Force Materiel Command — to events at the youth center. She is a professional wherever she goes, following any good photojournalist’s motto, “document the action, don’t become part of it.” She is also an “alert” photographer, one of the many on Tinker who respond to accidents, emergencies or the aftermath of a criminal activity to document the scene for investigators. “I have admired Margo’s work from the day we saw her first picture. Her photos are the reason the Tinker Take Off, unlike so many military publications, has a professional look and such strong visual appeal. She has been consistently the best newspaper photographer in AFMC for years,” said Rob Ely, chief of Internal Information at AFMC Public Affairs. Ms. Wright is a contract photographer with Team DenMar. (Air Force photo/Col. Allen Jamerson)
