Paying tribute
World War II veteran and ex-prisoner of war Delbert Coulter visits with Col. Joseph Rossacci, 552nd Air Control Wing vice commander, after a Veterans Day program Nov. 10 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Oklahoma City. The B-24 flight engineer and top turret gunner told of being shot down and his 14-month imprisonment during a bitterly cold German winter. Repeated “thank yous” from Tinker Airmen and others attending the program brought tears to the veteran’s eyes who said memories of his service are still fresh in his mind.
