SARCs fill boxes of hope

Capt. Rubanette Jenkins, victims advocate with the 507th Air Refueling Wing, sorts through items in a box ment to go to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Donated items will be given to the YWCA of Oklahoma City, the Rape Crisis Center and the Domestic Violence Shelter. Victims of sexual assault and domestic violence often lose their clothing as evidence when they submit to a forensic exam or flee a violent home. Therefore, they have nothing to wear, creating a desperate need for underwear, socks, sweat suits, T-shirts, flip-flops, sports bras, and travel size toiletry items. Donated items need not be expensive, but they must be new. Any and all styles and sizes will do. Items for men are needed, too. Drop boxes are located in various locations throughout Tinker AFB until Oct. 31. For further information contact the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office at 734-9293 or the Family Advocacy Program 734-4390. (Air Force photo/Danielle Gregory)
