Shop Talk
Toby Henry, an electroplater with the 548th Propulsion Maintenance Squadron, dunks a basket filled with various tubes, including aircraft oxygen tubes, into one of a series of tanks during an anti-corrosion process. The vats include an alkaline cleaner tank, a deoxidizer tank, an Alodine tank, multiple cold-water rinse tanks and a hot-water rinse tank. The process is used on other aircraft parts, as well, such as gearboxes, fan frames, and stators. (Air Force photo by Micah Garbarino)
