Power Out

Large portions of Tinker's industrial area were darkened for hours Tuesday after an electrical fire in a switching room and transformer temporarily shut down a power substation. Because of the outage, workers in several buildings were granted administrative leave, or alternate duty locations Tuesday afternoon. Electricians from Tinker and Oklahoma Gas and Electric company provided a fix, and by Wednesday the buildings were powered for employees to return to work. (Air Force photo by Micah Garbarino)
