Tinker delivers
Recently, a C-17 Globemaster on loan from Travis Air Force Base, Calif., left Tinker loaded with equipment needed by the Air Force’s 1st Combat Communications Group at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Members of Tinker’s Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems Program Office found the solution to getting a 25-foot-long, 20,000 pound trailer, holding the Deployable Tactical Air Naviation System, along with a Humvee-mounted mobile air traffic control tower and a Humvee-based power generator system together known as an MSN-7 Tower Restoral Vehicle across the ocean.
