Master Sgt. Matthew Gioielli starts the timer for one of the teams competing in the Defender Games’ 1.5K gauntlet obstacle course May 12. The four-person teams worked together to push a humvee uphill for 50 meters (as shown), fill sandbags, flip tires, do 20 Burpees, carry weighted ammo boxes, carry dummies to the next checkpoint, then carry 5 gallon jugs, all while trying to remember items in a box they had previously observed.
