STEM
Gabby Cooley-Mankins, 76th Software Maintenance Group electrical engineer, right, provides Barbara Bloyed, gateway instructor for Project Lead The Way at Harrah’s Middle School, a brief overview of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, or STEM, opportunities at the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex. Ms. Cooley-Mankins said in eighth grade she was inspired through STEM to pursue her interests, leading to her electrical engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma. Subsequently, it was her STEM interests that opened the door for a profession working with teams of engineers and subject matter experts who directly support Air Force readiness and development.
