The 552nd Air Control Wing Canadian Detachment hosted a Remembrance Day/Veterans Day ceremony Wednesday that drew more than 100 attendees. Lt. Col. Don “Boc” Saunders, commander of the 552nd Air Control Wing Canadian Detachment, said more than 40,000 Canadians served in Afghanistan, with 158 giving their lives and more than 2,000 wounded. “It is equally important to remember the sacrifices of our allies, our comrades in arms, and who we continue to serve alongside day in and day out as we do here at the 552nd Air Control Wing. One team. One fight,” he said. The Canadian Detachment has conducted the wreath-laying ceremony for more than 30 years. (Air Force photo by John Parker/Released)
