Members of the 76th Commodities Maintenance Group’s boom shop and representatives from the Voluntary Protection Programs Integrated Design Team (VPP IDT) show off their design of a boom tube roller (working/non-official name), which they planned and executed together out of used existing parts. The $50 fix will help workers with the difficult and labor-intensive task of inserting the boom into the boom housing and not cause physical pain. Standing, from left, are Roy Arnold, 550th Commodities Maintenance Squadron; Joe Harder, 551st CMXS; Ryan Adkins, 550th CMXS; Travis Saylor, 551st CMXS; Marvin Walker, 550th CMXS; Ryan Kilgore, 550th CMXS; and Roger Holder, 550th CMXS. Kneeling are Richard Meese and Joseph Milton with the Integrated Design Team Voluntary Protection Program. (Air Force photo by Kelly White)
