KC-135 Stratotanker ruddervators are shown in two distinct stages of remanufacture by members of the 553rd Commodities Maintenance Squadron, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, July 25, 2016, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla. Tradd Baggott, 553rd CMMXS composite fabricator works on the the ruddervator on the left which uses original components in the form of a steel tube and small section of honeycomb core around which the rest of the airfoil is built using the template table. Patrick Harkless, right, cleans and inspects a finished ruddervator ready to be returned to the supply system.
