Honorary Commanders 2017
A new class of Honorary Commanders were inducted into the year-long program Jan. 31. The program pairs a member of the community with a key leader from Tinker Air Force Base for one year, during which time they learn more about each other’s professional responsibilities. The relationships the partners build benefits both as each attains a better understanding and appreciation for the different sides of governmental and community service. Pictured with 72nd Air Base Wing Commander Col. Stephanie Wilson are 2017 class members, from left, Lane Neal, associate attorney with Durbin, Larimore & Bialick; Judy Hatfield, vice chair-Military and Aerospace with the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber; Joseph Brevetti, manager of Charter Oaks Oil and Gas; Carol Goodwin, Del City Chamber of Commerce executive director; Elizabeth Anthony, founder of Reel Classics; Johnny Kuhlman, deputy chief of police with the Oklahoma City Police Department; Ron Witherspoon, sales manager/executive vice president of Arvest Bank-Oklahoma City; David Brown, associate director of the Oklahoma Geological Survey; Aurora Lora, Oklahoma City Public Schools superintendent; Matt Dukes, mayor of Midwest City; Debra Teufel, director of the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma; Jim Gebhart, president of Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City; Randy Grau, deputy county commissioner for Oklahoma County; Sen.
