Contracting Challenge Award

Mark Correll, deputy assistant secretary of the Air Force for Environment, Safety and Infrastructure, presents Wade Wolfe, vice director for the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, with a Directors’ Award Recognition for the President’s Performance Contracting Challenge award for the OC-ALC’s efforts to achieve or exceed its target toward the President’s 2016 goal of $4 billion in energy and water efficiency investments. In 2011 and 2014, President Barack Obama challenged federal agencies to facilitate a total of $4 billion in energy efficiency upgrades to federal buildings with energy efficient performance contracts through 2016. As of December 2016, the agencies exceeded that goal, resulting in “21 federal agencies awarding 340 projects with over $4.2 billion in value,” according to a White House announcement.
