The 72nd Air Base Wing welcomed Col. Kenyon Bell as their new commander May 1 during a Change of Command Ceremony at the Tinker Club, assuming command from Col. Stephanie Wilson. Air Force Sustainment Center Commander Lt. Gen. Lee Levy II presided over the ceremony and Chief Master Sgt. Melissa Erb, the new 72ABW command chief, was the guidon bearer. As the new commander, Col. Bell will be responsible for a $311 million operating budget and more than 3,000 personnel providing base operating and direct operational support to the AFSC, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, 552nd Air Control Wing, Navy Strategic Communications Wing One, 507th Air Refueling Wing and 45 other associate units including the Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Informations Systems Agency, Defense Finance and Accounting Service and 38th Cyberspace Engineering Installation Group.
